Who am I?
I’ve always been the shy girl and for the most part, I still am. The girl that didn’t take too many risks in fear that I would fail or someone would laugh at me. I stuck to the “American” script. I believed that in order to be successful, you must go to school, graduate college, and find a job. Sticking to the script is safe, it’s comforting. I didn’t realize that true success is putting yourself out there, doing things that make you uncomfortable, and falling multiple times only to get back up, and try again.
After graduating college and finding a job, I realized that I didn’t know who I was. I didn’t know what I wanted to do and what made me want to get out of bed every morning. So I had to ask myself, “What makes you happy?”
Although this is a loaded question, and I truly believe your happiness constantly changes throughout your life, I began to allow my mind to wonder. I began to try a few new things, step outside of my average box, and just go for it! I volunteered in my community, I encouraged myself to go out and meet people and I began to develop a strong desire to travel.
Growing up, I have always taken trips with my family and always loved going on them. However, I didn’t truly develop my passion for traveling until after college. I started seeing so many travel blogs and Instagram posts of people that looked like me and that were around my age, exploring the world!
Of course, my first question was how are they affording to travel the world? Even with that, I still knew immediately that whatever they were doing, I wanted to do it too!
Since then, I have started my travel journey! I’m not jet setting around the world every week, but I explore new places locally and abroad when I’m able. When I’m not working my 9-5 and I can bargain a few vacation days, I hit the road!
Starting A Travel Blog Today
With my travel blog, I hope to share more insight and my points of view through my travel experience. My plan is to show you how I travel and the resources I use. I want to be direct with you and very transparent in the way I travel by showing detailed costs of trips, deals, & anything else that you want to know when you go somewhere new.
Travel is a privilege but I truly believe everyone can travel if they construct a plan that works for them. I hope to not only inspire you, but to encourage you to step outside of your comfort zones, and explore an unfamiliar territory. Life is too short to only dream, let’s put them into action!
This is just my first blog post and I hope you’ll stick around for my journey. I will start small and expand as I travel more. It won’t be easy, and at times it’ll be downright difficult, but let’s push forward, and see what the world has to offer!
So, let’s begin…
